Back in February 2013 we started this project with an introductory workshop at The Maritime Centre. Thank you to all who came along and pooled knowledge and ideas, and Deb for the biscuits. The Centre walls play host to this Port Map and inside there are vast amounts of knowledge and artefacts and fun things to do. You can like them on facebook

Big thank you to everyone at Newcastle Museum for hosting 4 lovely drawing workshops in March and April. Here are our drawings:

You can see most of these works of art incorporated into our Big Map. Thank you for all your fantastic drawing and some sound advice about fishing from Dylan – which appears on our Fishing page.

If you enjoyed these workshops … or you really wish you had been there but missed them, be sure to tell the nice people at the front desk in Newcastle Museum next time you visit.

Liz also visited St Dominic’s Centre for Hearing Impaired Children and Carrington Public School where the lovely pupils made drawings for this map
